She was talking to another friend on Braingle named celtichero. Random, isn’t it?

And now, for the book recommendation:

Simon Bloom: The Gravity Keeper

The main character, Simon Bloom, finds a book called The Teacher’s Edition of Physics. It allows him to not only understand the laws of physics, but control them. Simon and his friends Alysha and Owen have a great time with controlling reality, but they’re not the only ones who know about the Book. It belongs to a group called the Order of Physics, and they want it back. Not only that, but there are a couple of villains who will stop at nothing to get the Book and use it for their own purposes. Of course, all these people have their own science powers… And it’s only a matter of time before they find Simon and his friends.

I highly recommend it. It’s a really great book.

If and when you get it from the library, get the 2nd book in the series. It’s called Simon Bloom: The Octopus Effect. You won’t want to wait to read it.

The 3rd book in the series, Simon Bloom: The Order of Chaos, would have come out 2010, except that the author, Michael Reisman and the pulisher, Penguin Books aren’t getting along, so the author is find somewhere to move the series. He’s trying to get it out, so hang on.
